Laura Nielsen--Author Visits
Laura F. Nielsen is the author of of two picture books, Mrs. Muddle’s Holidays, Farrar, Straus & Giroux, 2008, and Jeremy’s Muffler, Atheneum, 1995,
as well as short pieces in Ladybug, Babybug, and The Friend. She lives in Northern Virginia and is willing to visit schools in the Metropolitan DC area. She presents three different assemblies which
are described below. Currently she charges $100 per assembly and can present 2-4 assemblies in one day. Please note that these assemblies are most successful when presented to a single grade level
and no more than 4 classes at a time. Some adaptations can be made, such as combining an afternoon kindergarten class with first graders, but be aware that larger groups or mixed groups will not provide
